Okta Inc. seeks a Staff Client Platform Engineer to own the macOS/iOS fleet with Jamf Pro and expand to Windows/Linux. Ideal candidate blends Apple expertise with cross‑platform tooling (FleetDM, Munki, Santa) and IaC practices to scale deployments. Hybrid role; SF Bay Area presence required with in-office days.

You will shape endpoint architecture, collaborate with product and security teams, and drive automation—from code to deployments—across OSs while supporting global users.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in endpoint engineering with a focus on Apple platforms at enterprise scale.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux OS; applies engineering principles beyond Mac.
• Deep expertise in managing endpoints via MDM (Jamf Pro) with familiarity of Intune, FleetDM or similar.

Responsabilités

• Own Apple Fleet Management for macOS and iOS using Jamf Pro, including enrollment, configuration profiles and app deployment.
• Contribute to cross-platform security and management of Windows and Linux endpoints; maintain security posture.
• Administer Munki, Santa and evaluate FleetDM; bridge platforms with unified tooling.
• Ensure endpoints meet security standards (ADE/DEP, MDM/DDM procedures) and collaborate with Security teams.
• Apply IaC mindset (Terraform/Ansible/Jamf API); build CI/CD pipelines for repeatable deployments.
• Set architecture direction for Apple platform/endpoint tooling and document design decisions.
• Act as primary feedback loop for internal product teams; test features in production and influence roadmaps.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support and participate in on-call rotations.
