Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Staff Workforce Engineer to set engineering direction for the Digital Workforce tool portfolio and design enterprise-scale AI assistant integrations. You will mentor engineers, influence technical standards, and drive cross-tool deployment strategies with high autonomy.

The role emphasizes architecture leadership, collaboration with security and vendor teams, and governance of Microsoft Copilot and 365 enablement across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience with deep expertise in at least two Digital Workforce domains (digital employee experience, Microsoft 365, automation, or security).
• Deep, hands‑on expertise in at least two of the following: digital employee experience platform architecture, the Microsoft 365 and Copilot ecosystem, automation and scripting, or security and compliance integration.
• Demonstrated ability to design cross-system architecture and set technical standards adopted by other engineers, without formal people‑management authority.
• Advanced experience with enterprise digital employee experience platforms (e.g., Nexthink), including telemetry pipeline design and integration with IT service management and endpoint toolchains.
• Expert‑level Microsoft 365 and Copilot administration knowledge, including governance and access‑control design.
• Strong track record partnering with Information Security, Vendor Management, and cross‑functional stakeholders on complex evaluations.
• Effective mentor to less‑senior engineers on architecture and evaluation decisions; informal technical lead.

Responsibilities

• Design deployment strategies that span multiple tools and set engineering standards for the Digital Workforce tool portfolio; manage moderate-complexity projects and act autonomously on most technical decisions.
• Architect data pipelines and cross-system integrations spanning digital employee experience platforms, IT service management, and endpoint tooling; own integration strategy as the lane’s SME.
