Spring Health, a global mental health company, seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead architecture and AI-driven platform transformation in a hybrid New York City role. You will translate broad product visions into scalable systems, partnering with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to accelerate delivery with high quality and governance.

You will mentor engineers, drive best practices, and ensure safety and compliance in AI usage while shaping the tech roadmap and reducing technical debt

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Python, prompt engineering, developing AI agents, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing and owning fullstack platform architecture at scale.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional teams across multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on experimentation, evaluation, and production rollout of modern AI capabilities and workflows.
• Take ownership of team architecture and decompose systems into discrete components.
• Produce architecture exemplifying efficiency, stability, and future-proofing.
• Establish guardrails for safe and responsible AI usage across the team.
