Job summary

Forgepoint Inc. is seeking a hands-on senior or staff-level individual-contributor to shape AI-powered products at the intersection of product and distributed systems.

You will design architectures, ship reliable systems, and build AI workers across the stack, from customer-facing experiences to long-running agent workflows with legacy ERP/CRM integrations. You will lead 0→1 initiatives, improve agent performance, and help set model strategy while evolving infrastructure as usage grows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product engineering experience designing, shipping, and operating systems.
• Strong systems thinker who can bound a complex domain into clear software.
• Product mindset: translate customer value into technical decisions.
• Commitment to code quality and reliability with pragmatic abstractions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Able to form informed opinions on AI models, architectures, and context strategy.
• Ambitious, resourceful, action-oriented, and comfortable working in NYC five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex product initiatives from discovery through production.
• Translate broad requirements into architecture documents and execution plans.
• Build AI product experiences and agent workflows.
• Improve performance, reliability, and cost as usage grows.
• Design and operate distributed systems with queues, workers, observability.
• Set technical strategy across models, context management, and infra.
• Raise engineering bar with simple design, testing, and reviews.
• Mentor engineers and create reusable patterns and docs.
