Job summary

Forgepoint is seeking a hands-on senior or staff-level product engineer to operate at the intersection of applied AI, product, and distributed systems. You will own architecture, ship reliable systems in production, and build AI workers spanning customer experiences to enterprise integrations.

You will lead 0→1 initiatives, improve agent performance, and contribute to model strategy while evolving our infrastructure as workloads grow.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product engineering experience with a track record of designing, shipping, and operating core systems.
• Strong systems thinker who can bound a complex domain into maintainable software.
• Product-minded with the ability to tie customer value to technical decisions.
• Commitment to code quality and reliable software without unnecessary abstraction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to mentor and provide feedback.
• Familiarity with fast-moving AI tech, model selection, and context strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex product initiatives from discovery to design, rollout, and production operation.
• Turn broad requirements into focused architecture documents and incremental plans.
• Build core AI product experiences and agent workflows with integrations to legacy systems.
• Improve performance, reliability, and cost as usage grows and models evolve.
• Design and operate distributed systems including queues, workers, observability, and failure recovery.
• Set technical strategy across models, architecture, context management, and developer experience.
• Raise the engineering bar through clean design, testing, code review, and operational follow-through.
• Mentor engineers and create patterns, docs, and feedback loops to increase team effectiveness.
