Job summary

Forgepoint Inc. is seeking a hands-on senior individual-contributor to shape AI-driven products and distributed systems. You will craft architectures, ship reliable systems, and lead 0→1 initiatives across AI workers, agent workflows, and legacy integrations.

You will write and operate core code in a TS/React/Node.js/PostgreSQL stack, on AWS and Kubernetes, while mentoring teammates and raising the bar on tooling and reviews. In-person in NYC five days a week.

Qualifications

• You have 5+ years of product engineering experience and a track record of designing, shipping, and operating important systems.
• You are a strong systems thinker who can reduce a complex domain to clear boundaries and maintainable software.
• You have a product mindset and connect technical decisions to customer value.
• You care about code quality and reliability, avoiding unnecessary abstraction.
• You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teammates, mentoring others through writing and review.
• You form opinions about fast-moving AI technology and choose models and architectures accordingly.
• You are ambitious, resourceful, action-oriented, and willing to work in person five days a week in NYC.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex product initiatives from discovery through design, implementation, rollout and production operation.
• Translate broad requirements into architecture documents, tradeoffs, and execution plans.
• Build core AI product experiences and agent workflows, tools, and integrations.
• Improve agent performance, reliability, and cost as usage grows and models evolve.
• Design and operate distributed systems, including queues, workers, observability, and failure recovery.
• Help set technical strategy across models, agent architecture, context management, infra, and developer experience.
• Raise the engineering bar through simple design, testing, code review, and operational follow-through.
• Mentor engineers and create patterns, docs, and feedback loops to improve team effectiveness.
