The role emphasizes 60% architecture and 40% hands-on development, with strong collaboration across Product, Design, and Engineering leadership in a fast-paced, in-office-heavy environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience with ownership of system design for high-scale products.
• Experience integrating AI models or LLMs into production systems.
• Ability to make architectural decisions with incomplete information and steer teams.
• Strong Kotlin backend expertise; TypeScript is a plus.
• Solid command of AWS and Kubernetes and cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own the technical direction of AI-powered products and 0-to-1 builds.
• Integrate AI models into production systems with reliability and performance in mind.
• Shape architecture decisions that influence the product for years to come.
• Write high-quality code and ship proof-of-concepts to validate options.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate goals into initiatives.
• Proactively address technical debt and unblock engineers to maintain momentum.
