Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Staff Engineer (AI) to architect and build the agentic systems and AI foundations within our Platform Services team - the team responsible for the shared infrastructure, internal tooling, and core services that other product teams build on.

This is a deeply hands-on individual contributor role: you will set technical direction, write and review code, and own the design of systems that let HighLevel engineering teams build, ship, and operate AI-driven capabilities reliably

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with senior/staff-level contributions.
• Experience architecting AI agent orchestration and platform services.
• Proficiency in Go, Python or Node.js and strong coding skills.
• Strong observability and cost-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect agentic systems and AI platform services for enterprise scale.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers across teams.
• Drive reliability, safety, and performance in production.
• Collaborate with product, SRE, security and leadership on roadmap.
