Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Staff Engineer (AI) to architect and build agentic systems and AI foundations within the Platform Services team. This hands-on IC role requires setting technical direction, writing and reviewing code, and owning designs for AI-driven capabilities at enterprise scale.

You will drive an AI-first culture, ensure reliability and safety, and collaborate with product engineering, SRE/infra, security, and leadership to align capabilities with business needs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall software engineering experience.
• At least 1+ year architecting agentic systems in production.
• AI-first mindset with hands-on coding.
• Proficiency in Go, Python or Node.js.
• Strong observability and cost optimization in AI.
• GCP and/or AWS service management experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect agentic systems and AI platform services for enterprise scale.
• Write and review code; own design decisions for reliable AI capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and drive a culture of ownership and craftsmanship.
