Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks an experienced CPU IP Design Engineer to own RTL development for our AI-enabled RISC-V CPU core. You will define features, performance, power, and area while driving micro-architecture and verification across teams.

The role involves designing vector/matrix processing blocks, exploring high-performance strategies, and refining RTL to hit timing budgets in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on RTL development experience for CPU cores.
• Deep knowledge of micro-architecture and design of high-performance CPUs.
• Experience with RISC-V, ARM, or MIPS CPU cores and vector/matrix processing.

Responsibilities

• Drive micro-architecture and RTL development for AI-enabled RISC-V CPU core.
• Design of vector CPU core and custom extensions with performance goals in mind.
• Develop and refine RTL to meet power, timing and area targets.
• Perform functional verification support and assist in verification strategy.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams on physical design aspects.
