Linktree is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to build AI agents and experiences that help creators, businesses, and audiences grow on one Linktree. You will move ideas from concept to prototype to production, balancing speed with observability, safeguards, and product judgment. This is a build-and-ship role, not pure research.

You’ll design multi-agent workflows, optimize latency and safety, and collaborate across product, design, data, and trust teams to deliver high-value experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered products.
• Experience building evals for AI output quality.
• Strong product sense with pragmatic trade-offs.
• Ability to keep systems simple and scalable.
• Good judgment on safety, trust, privacy, abuse, and failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI experiences end-to-end for creators and visitors.
• Design multi-agent workflows integrating prompting, tools, retrieval, and memory.
• Create evaluation suites, regression harnesses, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and trust teams to translate problems into high-value experiences.
• Optimize latency, reliability, cost, and safety for scale.
