Job summary

Linktree Pty is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to build end-to-end AI experiences that help creators, businesses, and their audiences. You’ll work across product, design, data, and platform engineering to ship AI agents and AI-powered experiences at scale.

The role emphasizes moving from concept to prototype to production with strong product judgment, evaluation, observability, and safeguards. This is a build‑and‑ship role in a dynamic, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience building LLM‑powered products, agents, chat systems, or similar AI experiences.
• Experience designing end-to-end production systems.
• Ability to design and evaluate AI safety and privacy aspects.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship creator-facing and visitor-facing AI experiences end-to-end, from prototype through production.
• Design multi-agent workflows combining prompting, tool use, retrieval, memory/state, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Create eval suites, regression harnesses, and quality metrics for AI quality improvements.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and trust teams to translate user problems into high-value experiences.
• Optimize latency, reliability, cost, and safety for AI features at scale.
• Turn production feedback and behavioral data into model, prompt, policy, and product improvements.
