Job summary

The Living Company (TLC) seeks a Staff Accountant to support a multi-entity, project-based business, assisting with monthly closes, reconciliations, and WIP/revenue recognition under ASC 606. Work closely with AR/AP, drive accuracy in schedules, and support internal controls.

This role offers a hands-on path to Senior Accountant as the business grows and requires a detail-oriented, proactive finance professional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and ability to explain accounting clearly to non-finance teammates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and office productivity tools.
• Experience with project-based accounting and ASC 606 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned monthly close tasks within established timelines.
• Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet support.
• Handle WIP schedules and revenue recognition entries under ASC 606.
• Support AR/AP activities and vendor inquiries as needed.
• Assist with internal controls, audit support, and variance analysis.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor requests.
