Job summary

Trident, a Texas-based insurance agency and TPA, is seeking a reliable Staff Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting across three entities under the Controller.

This hands‑on role emphasizes reconciliations and accurate journal entries, with AP/AR and vendor activity largely automated; the team seeks meticulous workpapers and clean documentation as we migrate to Sage Intacct.

You will also contribute to intercompany accounting, monthly bank reconciliations, and ensure adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Proficient in double-entry, accrual accounting, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with QuickBooks; Sage Intacct a plus; strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare routine monthly journal entries under Controller guidance.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all entities.
• Reconcile billing and vendor activity to the GL and resolve variances.
• Monitor AP/AR workflows and escalate exceptions.
• Maintain intercompany records across three entities and ensure proper eliminations.
