Job summary

Vantage Network is seeking a Staff Accountant to support general accounting operations across the organization. You will work with the Director of Accounting to manage day-to-day activity, prepare journal entries, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

The role supports AP/AR, intercompany allocations, and financial reporting. The position is remote with occasional in-person meetings in the Washington DC area, and candidates in the DC metro region are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel; experience with other accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations under the Director of Accounting.
• Prepare and post routine journal entries and month-end adjustments.
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities and supporting schedules.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, vendor setup, and inquiries.
• Prepare intercompany journal entries and reconcile intercompany balances.
• Support payroll and benefits accounting and related reconciliations.
• Assist with financial reports and management schedules.
