Job summary

YipitData is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This high-growth FinTech company offers entrepreneurial yet supportive colleagues.

In this role you will manage accounts receivable, own customer communications, and assist the accounting team in a fast-paced environment. This role may be performed remotely within the United States, with US HQ in NYC and offices in multiple cities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience with AR, bookkeeping, GL accounting, and month-end close processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Experience with NetSuite accounting software and Salesforce CRM strongly preferred.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoice review, collections, cash application, and reconciliations.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries; monitor accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Monitor A/R aging and collaborate with Treasury on collections.
• Review APAC payroll reports and transactions in NetSuite.
• Assist in month-end close and other accounting tasks; prepare journal entries and reconciliations; explain variances.
• Support annual financial audits and ad hoc projects.
