Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions per GAAP.
• Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and capex monitoring.
• Maintain the prepaid expense schedule and monthly amortizations.
• Assist in timely month-end close and income statement reviews.
• Oversee multi-state payroll processing and accuracy.
• Reconcile payroll reports with the general ledger.
• Analyze labor costs, overtime trends, and departmental allocations for reports and budgeting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Manage all aspects of accounting, including the recording, classification, and summarization of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
• Initiate and process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments across various accounts and entities
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Track and manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and capital expenditure monitoring
• Maintain the prepaid expense schedule and record recurring monthly amortizations accurately and on time
• Assist in timely month-end close, including income statement reviews
• Oversee end-to-end processing of multi-state payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
• Reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies between the payroll system and financial records
• Analyze labor costs, overtime trends, and departmental allocations to provide reports for monthly income statement reviews and budgeting
• Perform other duties as assigned
