Job summary

LV Petroleum, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will manage daily transactions, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end close while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities include processing accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and preparing management reports. Proficiency with QuickBooks or NetSuite is preferred, along with strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or related role.
• Transaction matching, account reconciliations, and month-end closure processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process and record daily transaction entries for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Perform invoice matching to locations and payments.
• Conduct account reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with month-end closure, including journal entries and data accuracy checks.
• Maintain integrity of financial records with internal controls and compliance.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and reports as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
