Job summary

LV Petroleum LLC in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Accountant to manage financials for remodels, renovations, and build-outs across our travel centers, convenience stores, fuel stations, and quick-service restaurants.

You will partner with Construction Project Managers to keep projects on budget, track costs, and provide timely, GAAP-compliant financial reporting in a fast-paced retail/fuel environment. This role is based at our corporate office in Las Vegas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction project accounting or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of job costing, change orders, retainage, lien waivers, and percent‑of‑completion methods.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with construction accounting software (Procore, Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Solid knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for capital projects.
• CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project accounting for remodels and new build projects across LV Petroleum’s locations.
• Collaborate with Construction Project Managers to develop accurate budgets, cost codes, and forecasts.
• Track and analyze all project costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and overhead; prepare monthly job cost reports and variance analysis.
• Process invoices, change orders, pay applications, and payments with proper documentation and contracts compliance.
• Manage retainage, lien waivers, insurance certificates, and subcontractor compliance documentation.
• Prepare timely billings, cost reports, and financial dashboards for stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Monitor cash flow, identify budget risks, and recommend corrective actions.

About the Role

LVPetroleum is a high-growth operator of more than 80 travel centers, convenience stores, gas stations, and quick-service restaurants across the United States. As we continue our aggressive expansion and renovation program, we are seeking a detail-orientedConstruction Project Accountant to manage the financial aspects of our remodel, renovation, and build-out projects.

Inthis role, you will work closely with Construction Project Managers to ensure remodel projects stay on budget, costs are accurately tracked, and financial reporting supportstimulate timely, profitable execution - all whilemaintaining compliance in a dynamic retail/fuelenvironment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction project accounting, job cost accounting, or project-basedfinancial management(experience in retail, convenience store, fuel station, or commercial remodels is strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing, change orders, retainage, lien waivers, and percentage-of-completion methods
• Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel and experience with construction accounting software (Procore, Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Solid knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for capital projects
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal finance teams
• CPA or progress toward certification is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project accounting for multiple remodel and renovation projects across LV Petroleum’s travel centers, convenience stores, fueling facilities, and quick-service restaurants
• Collaborate with Construction Project Managers to developaccurateproject budgets, cost codes, and financial forecasts
• Track and analyze all project costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and overhead; prepare monthly job cost reports and variance analysis
• Process invoices, change orders, pay applications, and payments while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with contracts
• Manage retainage, lien waivers, insurance certificates, and subcontractor compliance documentation
• Prepareaccurateandtimelybillings, cost reports, and financial dashboards for project stakeholders and senior leadership
• Monitor cash flow,identifypotential budget risks or overruns, and recommend corrective actions
• Support project closeouts by reconciling final costs, releasing retainage, and preparing final project financial summaries
• Assistwith capital project forecasting, budgeting for new remodel initiatives, and integration ofacquiredlocations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (GAAP)
• Participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency in construction accounting and reporting
