Job summary

V Theater Group LLC in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate books, preparing tax reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with a strong emphasis on QuickBooks Desktop and Excel proficiency.

The successful candidate will manage accounts payable/receivable, contribute to financial reporting, and support audits while keeping data secure and confidential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as staff accountant.
• 3+ years of experience using QuickBooks Desktop.
• 3+ years of experience using Excel.
• Experience preparing corporate tax returns and financial reports.
• Knowledge of Paycom is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports
• Assess and research accounting issues to identify solutions
• Analyze transactions and prepare financial reports
• Compile accounting reports for daily operations
• Ensure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities
• Offer support and guidance during audits
• Perform account/ledger reconciliations and oversee/manage accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions
• Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes and accounting procedures
• Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports
• Establish accounting policies and procedures
• Offer support and guidance to the accounting team
• Balance financial records and check for inaccuracies
• Perform other accounting related duties and tasks assigned
