Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. is hiring a Staff Accountant to manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable, including wiring and ACH payments. The role collaborates with the Controller and supports payroll, audits, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Month-end closing with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Accounts payable processing and payments (including Wires & ACH).
• A/P banking and vendor management.
• Payroll support and assisting with audits.
• Assist Controller with audit requests and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries for month-end review and input into accounting system.
• Prepare sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations for Director of Finance’s review.
• Upload month-end reconciliations to FloQast.
• Establish and maintain AP procedures; ensure 3-way match of receiving, invoices and purchase orders.
• Enter and code invoices, generate and mail payable checks; interact with vendors.
• Generate wires for approval by Controller/CFO and corporate as needed; handle vendor W-9s and 1099s.
• Manage Commission payments to Representatives, including contract reviews and wiring payments.
• Record daily banking activity and all outgoing payments (Wires, ACH, Sales Tax, Credit Card).
• Reconcile company credit card statements; interact with Wells Fargo as needed.
• Reconcile intercompany/intersegment balances; prepare monthly JE for intercompany transactions.
• Maintain internal W-9s for the three entities; act as A/R backup.
• Archive files and retrieve documentation per team requests.
• Support audits and special projects as required.
