Job summary

Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support month-end closes, journal entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable, while assisting with payroll and audit requests.

As a HEICO subsidiary, SBIR operates in a fast-paced aerospace/electronics environment with a strong customer base. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience with AP/AR/payroll and journal entries, and proficient Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education/experience.
• Experience with AP, AR, Payroll and/or Journal Entries.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close: journal entries and reconciliations.
• Accounts payable processing and vendor payments; 3-way matching.
• Commission management and related contract terms tracking.
• Banking payables: wires, ACH, and credit card payments; daily activity.
• Intercompany and monthly JE; intercompany accruals as needed.
• Accounts receivable: maintain W-9s and act as AR backup.
• Archive files and respond to data requests; audit support as needed.
