Job summary

HORIBA Instruments seeks an experienced Staff Accountant in Irvine, CA to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, strong SAP FI/CO experience, and proven analytical and communication skills.

You will contribute to budgets, forecasts, tax tasks, and process improvements while collaborating across teams. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to contribute to ongoing finance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Knowledge of general and cost accounting principles.
Experience with SAP FI/CO systems.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to interact with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

Support the month end general ledger close and prepare journal entries.
Perform account reconciliations.
Assist in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other internal and external financial reporting.
Assist in budgeting, forecasts and variance analysis.
Support income tax research and related projects.
Assist in post-merger integration activities and process improvements.
Support audits by external auditors.
