Job summary

Temporary Staffing Professionals is hiring a Staff Accountant for our client in Irvine, CA. The role supports the accounting team in a fast-paced corporate environment, focusing on journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of GAAP, and solid Excel/ERP skills. You will work closely with the Controller and Accounting Supervisor, contributing to audits and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger activity
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation
• Assist with financial reporting and internal accounting requests
