Job summary

The HORIBA Instruments division in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our shared services team. You will support month-end close, prepare journals, and assist in income statements and budgets.

The role requires a solid foundation in general and cost accounting, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and proficiency with SAP FI/CO and MS Office. We offer a competitive package and comprehensive benefits.

• Ability to interact with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Support the month end general ledger close and prepare journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other internal and external financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Support income tax research/special projects, filings and accounting treatments.
• Identify areas of concern/opportunity and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in planning, execution, separation, integration and organizational restructuring activities for post-merger initiatives.
• Other general accounting responsibilities and special projects as required.
• Support financial reviews and audits conducted by independent auditors.
