Job summary

Cash-Wa Distributing, a Performance Food Group company, is seeking a Staff Accountant I to support Fargo operations. You will assist with month-end close, prepare journal entries, conduct reconciliations, and help improve accounting processes within our finance team.

The role offers exposure to financial reporting, variance analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a growing organization. A 2-year degree is provided as a baseline, with opportunities for growth in accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end analyses.
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies.
• Reconcile transactions by verifying entries and reports against balances.
• Support general ledger, AP, AR, inventory, and purchasing modules.
