Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. is seeking a staff accountant to support daily accounting and reporting for HCBS. You will prepare bank reconciliations, monitor cash balances, and record top-level adjustments while assisting with monthly close and variance explanations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 1 year of accounting experience. JD Edwards experience is preferred, with strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited university preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year accounting experience required.
• Experience with JD Edwards-Enterprise One System preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal control policies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and reporting functions for HCBS.
• Prepares bank reconciliations and monitors cash balances.
• Records journal entries and performs GL reconciliations.
• Supports audits by gathering documentation and explanations.
• Works with other departments and acts as backup on tasks as needed.
• Prepares and analyzes accounts receivable, accounts payable and allocations.
