Job summary

Talentify is seeking an experienced accounting professional to assist with month-end close, journal entries, and detailed account analyses. You will support intercompany transactions, fund accounting, and grants management while preparing external reports.

The role requires strong Excel skills and a solid grounding in accounting principles, with emphasis on accuracy, problem solving, and attention to detail. Healthcare/non-profit experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Three to five years of directly related professional experience.
• CPA (preferred).
• Experience in healthcare or non-profit finance preferred; two to three years in a CPA firm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries for assigned accounts.
• Perform monthly account analyses and reconciliations including intercompany transactions, accruals, fund accounting and grants management.
• Prepare financial reports in compliance with external reporting requirements.
• Download monthly and quarterly bank statements for bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Analyze cost centers and compare budget to actual and prior periods.
• Provide ad hoc analyses to support management inquiries.

Position Summary

• This position performs a wide variety of accounting duties such as participating in the month-end close of the general ledger, submitting reports to external parties and preparing various account analyses. The position requires the ability to problem solve and work both independently and in a group.

Primary Position Responsibilities

1. Prepare and enter various journal entries for assigned accounts, ensuring all activity is recorded
2. Perform various account analyses and reconciliations on a monthly basis, including intercompany transactions, accruals and specialty areas of accounting including fund accounting and grants management, as applicable.
3. Prepare financial reports in compliance with external reporting requirements
4. Download monthly and quarterly bank statements for bank reconciliations and journal entries
5. Performs detailed analyses of assigned cost centers and compares budget to actual and prior periods
6. Perform ad hoc analyses to support management inquiries for revenue and expenses as needed
7. Assists with financial reporting by gathering and reporting statistical information
8. Assist with year-end audit by assembling supporting documents and providing prepared schedules.

Qualifications
