Job summary

Capital Technology Group is seeking a smart, motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role supports the Controller across day-to-day financial operations, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Hybrid work from Silver Spring, MD is available for this position. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting or related field, strong communication and organizational skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to learn new processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Accounting inbox and process AP transactions.
• Prepare, review, and submit AR invoices per contract and billing requirements.
• Create, update, and maintain Accounting SOPs for consistent processes.
• Review subcontractor labor hours and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the Controller with general accounting activities and financial reporting.
• General office support projects as assigned.
