Capital Technology Group is seeking a smart Staff Accountant for a hybrid role in Silver Spring, MD. You will support day-to-day accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting under the Controller.

The ideal candidate has an accounting degree, strong communication and organizational skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Residency in the Washington DC area is required for hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Self-starter with sound judgment and problem-solving ability.
• Hybrid role requires DMV-area residency for Silver Spring, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Accounting inbox and process AP transactions.
• Prepare, review, and submit AR invoices in line with contracts.
• Create and maintain Accounting SOPs for consistent processes.
• Review subcontractor labor hours and resolve discrepancies.
• Support Controller with financial reporting and other accounting projects.
• Provide general office support as needed.
