Job summary

The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and will be responsible for various tasks within the general ledger accounting function. This role requires accurate entry of journal entries, coordination with departments for month-end close, and ensuring GAAP compliance across accounts.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree with Accounting or Finance concentration required.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Hybrid schedule up to 1 day at home per week.
• Ability to organize work, meet deadlines and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the month end close process by preparing, entering, and uploading journal entries into the general ledger system.
• Work with stakeholders from other departments to ensure proper recording of transactions, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Prepare account reconciliations and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Update/maintain accounting spreadsheets and apply Excel formulas as needed.
• Execute new processes for transactions from new contracts or agreements.
• Gather/analyze information from the general ledger and other departments.
• Maintain and distribute various reports for business units and management.
• Provide prompt internal customer service via phone and email.
• Assist supervisor and management with related tasks.
• Follow company policies and other duties as assigned.
