Brilliant is seeking a Staff Accountant for a hybrid opportunity in the Denver area. The role supports month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries to ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and familiarity with reconciliations and audit support. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with standard corporate benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in corporate, public accounting, or both.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries to support an accurate and timely month-end close.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and research variances as needed.
• Support the overall accuracy of financial data and accounting records.
• Assist with accounts payable processing and related reconciliations as needed.
• Assist with the preparation of internal financial statements and management reports.
• Support regulatory reporting and required filings.
• Help assist with internal and external audit requests, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation.

Accounting Operations

• Prepare and record journal entries to support an accurate and timely month-end close.
