Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the corporate accounting function, including the monthly close, consolidations, and financial reporting. You will partner with branches and subsidiaries to ensure accurate accounting and strong internal controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 2+ years of experience, with strong Excel/Word skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and proactive with problem-solving ability.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the monthly financial close and prepare journal entries for consolidation.
• Review trial balance and financial statements for accurate recording.
• Ensure internal controls and accurate presentation of financial statements across branches.
• Investigate and correct errors in financial entries.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and documentation across subsidiaries.
• Provide high levels of customer service to Branch Managers and Regional Directors.
• Communicate accounting procedures to operations and ensure compliance.
• Assist with annual audits and ad hoc analyses.
