Builders is seeking a Staff Accountant, Financial Reporting, to manage a broad range of accounting activities with a focus on financial reporting and GAAP compliance. The role supports month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes and helps ensure accurate financial information for the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with 1+ years of accounting experience or equivalent
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred
• Strong grasp of GAAP and accounting principles
• Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external customers
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
• Organizational and time-management skills with focus on accuracy and detail
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in a team
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software applications

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements and reports
• Journal entries for month-end closings with supporting documentation
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends and opportunities
• Lead or contribute to special projects to enhance processes and financial operations
• Support ongoing professional development and stay current with industry standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
