Solomon Page has a Staff Accountant opportunity in Austin, TX onsite. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting functions, work with branch teams for accurate financial reporting, and assist with month-end close.

This direct-hire/Temp-to-hire role requires a foundation in operational accounting and strong collaboration across teams. The role offers the chance to grow within a dynamic finance team and contribute to accurate reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to operational accounting.
• Understanding of JEs, A/P, A/R, and reconciliations.
• Strong communication and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries (JEs) to support accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes.
• Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate regularly with branch locations to gather information and support accounting needs.
• Assist with month-end close activities and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Support process improvements and maintain accurate financial records.
