Job summary

Three Strands Group is hiring a Staff Accountant in Austin, TX. This hybrid role supports day-to-day accounting, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, payroll support, and month-end close activities.

You will partner with internal departments to maintain accurate records, prepare financial reports, and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficient with GAAP and internal controls.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with financial software and multi-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review source documentation to ensure revenue is accurately calculated.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor setup, and timely payments.
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation.
• Process employee expense reimbursements and corporate card program.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Support payroll processing and data entry.
• Monitor outstanding accounts and resolve aged balances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Utilize accounting software to support daily operations.
• Participate in process improvements and special projects.
