Job summary

Solomon Page is assisting a well-established client in Austin, TX, with an Accounting Specialist (AP/AR) role onsite. You will manage high-volume accounts payable and receivable, verify vendor and customer data, and support month-end close and audits.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in AP/AR, a degree in accounting or finance, and strong Excel plus experience with Sage Intacct, SAP, Concur. This role offers a fast-paced environment and opportunities to improve processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of AP/AR or business accounting experience.
• High-volume AP/AR processing experience required.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, SAP, Concur or similar systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify and review vendors’ documents, contracts, and W-9s for accuracy.
• Maintain vendor and customer profiles in accounting systems and payment platforms.
• Process daily AP and AR tasks, up to 80 items/day, with accuracy.
• Code invoices and payments to correct GL accounts and cost centers.
• Ensure timely vendor payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer; assist collections.
• Support month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare 1099s and assist with annual reporting and audits.
• Collaborate with department heads to resolve billing or payment questions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.
