LHH is partnering with a leading organization in the Twin Cities seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement, within a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles, with 1+ years of experience and proficiency in Excel and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ year of accounting experience preferred.
• Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
• Review transactions to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
• Assist with financial statements, management reports, budgeting and audits.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business objectives.
