Job summary

LHH is partnering with a growing organization to hire a Staff Accountant in Tempe, AZ. This role offers hands-on accounting experience, exposure to a growing operation, and clear opportunities for continued development and advancement.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with month-end close, and support financial reporting while collaborating across accounting and operations teams. CPA pursuit and SAP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-4 years of accounting experience.
• Corporate accounting, public accounting, inventory, or operational accounting experience.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working across accounting and operational teams.
• CPA, CPA candidacy, or interest in pursuing certification preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Support financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with inventory accounting, purchase orders, and variance research.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with US GAAP.
• Partner with accounting, operations, procurement, and field teams.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen accounting controls.
• Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
