Job summary

LHH is seeking an Accounting Systems Supervisor in Tempe, AZ to oversee the financial close platform, controls, and automation initiatives in a multi-entity environment. You will partner with finance, audit, and technology teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the close process.

The role emphasizes process improvement, system administration (Blackline), and leadership of accounting staff in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting, financial systems, or financial reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of financial close, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience partnering with technology teams to improve accounting processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator for the organization's financial close and account reconciliation platform.
• Manage system configuration, user access, workflows, reconciliations, journal entry processes, and related automation initiatives.
• Partner with finance, technology, and compliance teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Support the transition of manual processes into streamlined, technology-enabled workflows.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
• Design, maintain, and monitor internal controls and compliance-related procedures.
• Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and other close-related activities.
• Assist with regulatory and compliance reporting requirements.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff responsible for transactional accounting and master data maintenance.
• Provide guidance on accounting processes, system usage, and best practices.
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
