Job summary

LHH Recruitment is partnering with a Scottsdale-area company to hire a Staff Accountant. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a recent accounting graduate or junior professional looking to build general ledger experience.

You will prepare and post journal entries, assist with GL maintenance and close processes, analyze variances, and collaborate with internal departments. Monday–Friday daytime hours with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 6 months of GL accounting experience including journal entries.
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Utilize Excel to organize, analyze, and reconcile data.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
