Job summary

Skout's Honor is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Oceanside, CA. The role combines accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card activity, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close support to ensure accurate financials.

The successful candidate will work with the Senior Accounting Manager, learn our ERP system, and help improve controls and processes while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with AP/ARGL/close support.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with financial data.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices with accurate coding and timely entry.
• Assist with vendor setup, W-9s, statements, and invoice discrepancies.
• Manage credit card activity, coding, reconciliation, and documentation.
• Support AR activities: invoicing, cash application, aging, collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and GL accounts.
• Prepare recurring and nonrecurring journal entries and schedules.
• Support month-end to year-end close and reporting.
