High Country Search Group is seeking a Staff Accountant in Ontario, CA to join the accounting team. The role covers the general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with hands-on responsibility for day-to-day accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of general accounting experience.
• Hands-on with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial statements.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Comfortable managing responsibilities independently in a fast-paced environment.
• ASC 606 knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly close process and general ledger accounting
• Prepare and post journal entries, including prepaids, expense allocations, and other recurring entries
• Complete balance sheet account reconciliations
• Perform bank and corporate credit card reconciliations
• Assist with accounts receivable activities as needed
• Provide backup support for accounts payable
• Assist with accounting related to leases and other operational expenses
• Prepare financial analyses and reports for accounting leadership
• Work with Excel and financial reporting systems to analyze accounting data
• Support expense reporting processes and employee questions
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
