Job summary

Leoforce in Fresno, CA is seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The role covers journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement prep in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and accounting software. Payroll backup and AR duties are also included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Payroll experience and accounts receivable preferred.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with Excel and accounting software.
• Able to work independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings and financial statements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support audits with documentation and inquiries.
• Prepare and file sales tax reports monthly/quarterly/annually.
• Provide payroll process backup support.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable tasks: collections, payments, reconciliations.
• Collaborate with departments for timely financial reporting.
• Handle other tasks and projects as assigned.
