Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our healthcare organization in Rollingwood, TX. The role focuses on month-end and year-end close processes, with responsibilities spanning journal entries, reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate financial data.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, a solid grasp of general ledger accounting, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate preferred).
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Record payroll-related journal entries and confirm reconciliation to cash
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments
• Perform credit card reconciliations, reviewing transactions for accuracy and proper coding
• Complete cash-related reconciliations, including bank accounts and cash clearing accounts
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve variances
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data
