POSITION TITLE

Staff Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting senior accounting staff with financial reporting. Key duties include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and helping with audits. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Proficiency in QuickBooks: Desktop/Online
• Preparing journal entries and completing bank reconciliations
• Assisting the controller with month end close
• A/R and A/P experience
• Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
• Maintaining accurate financial records

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 Years Minimum Experience in Accounting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with mass retail accounts on item set up / configuration
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
• Ability to correctly prepare tax reports
• Advanced Excel experience, as well as expertise in QuickBooks
