Connect Search, LLC in Illinois is seeking a Staff Accountant to own core GL work and gain real analysis responsibilities. You will manage entries, reconciliations, and assist close, while explaining movements in revenue, inventory, and costs.

You will collaborate with FP&A and supply chain on margins and cost drivers, support budgeting, and drive process improvements through automation. This role offers a hybrid workplace, competitive base pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience in industry or public accounting.
• Hands-on journal entries, reconciliations and close responsibilities.
• Some variance, flux, or financial statement analysis.
• Clear writing and communication about the numbers.

Responsabilités

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for a clean general ledger.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Perform variance analysis on revenue, inventory and operating expenses with explanations.
• Prepare commentary for the monthly financial reporting package.
• Analyze margins and cost drivers with operations, FP&A, and supply chain.
• Handle inventory accounting and cost analysis in an international sourcing environment
• Provide data and historical analysis for budgets and forecasts.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation in reporting.
