IFG US is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team in Naperville, IL. This Direct Hire role offers 4 days in the office with one remote day, and a compensation target of $70,000–$80,000 DOE.

The staff accountant will support general ledger, project cost accounting, fixed assets, grants, and comprehensive financial reporting. You will collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Construction and Operations, ensuring accuracy, internal controls, and timely financial closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• CPA/CMA/MBA credentials desirable.
• Strong Excel skills with ERP experience, especially NetSuite.
• Reliable, deadline-driven and a team player.
• Experience with Power Automate and AI tools is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Support financial reporting and accounting operations across GL, cost accounting, and tax.
• Prepare journal entries and assist monthly/annual close.
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with revenue cycle, AR; ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Maintain fixed assets records and monitor project costs.
• Identify process improvements and work with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and audit support.
• Coordinate grant accounting and reimbursements.
