Vigor Marine Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to handle a broad range of corporate accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, month-end close, fixed assets, and project accounting across multiple entities.

The role supports internal/external audits and process improvements, requires strong Excel skills, and engages with Finance and related departments to maintain accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business from a fully accredited college or university is preferred.
• 3 or more years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity corporate environment, is required.
• Public Accounting experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and input journal entries to general ledgers
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations as assigned
• Supports the month-end close process & meets tight schedule requirements.
• Supports periodic audit efforts from government customers, taxing authorities, & other business partners.
• Assist in the creation of timely & accurate supporting schedules and analysis.
• Review general ledger activity to ensure accurate coding.
• Initiate process & system improvements to increase accuracy & efficiency of department tasks
• Special projects as assigned
