Job summary

Dahl Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in Maple Lake, MN to maintain general ledger, support distributor and customer accounting, and provide critical reporting for business decisions. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 2+ years of accounting experience.

You will manage journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple systems, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with large data sets and multiple accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts through accurate journal entry preparation and posting.
• Support allocations across multiple divisions, departments, routes, brands, and customer groups.
• Track sales activity, promotional allowances, deductions, and reclamation payments to support broker and distributor payment processes.
• Prepare documentation and assist with year-end financial audits.
• Develop profitability and financial performance reports for distributors and warehouse customers.
• Research and resolve promotional fees, scan-back deductions, rebates, and customer allowances.
• Monitor customer accruals, incentives, rebates, and payout activity.
• Collaborate with accounting team members to ensure accurate accruals and financial reporting.
